Watertown & Belmont Teaming Up for Weekend-Long Juneteenth Celebration

WATERTOWN – Later this month, Watertown Community for Black Lives (WCBL) will team up with the Belmont Human Rights Commission for an entire weekend of activities to celebrate Juneteenth. This is the third annual event organized by WCBL, but it will mark the first time that holiday is celebrated in Belmont.

-Saturday, June 17th – Watertown Free Public Library, 9am-1pm

-Sunday, June 18th – Belmont, Beech St. Center/Town Field, 2pm-6pm

WCBL leadership members Tiffany York, Teo Evans, and Felicia Sullivan joined Watertown Cable News to share some details about what residents can expect at each of the events.

Belmont Media Center’s Belmont Journal also interviewed Tiffany, Teo, and Kim Haley-Jackson, Chair of the Belmont Human Rights Commission.
