Watertown Field Hockey Holds Off Newburyport, Wins 21st State Title in Program History

WATERTOWN – The record-setting shutout streak may have come to an end, but the stiff competition provided by the Newburyport Clippers didn’t faze coach Eileen Donahue’s squad. The Watertown high school field hockey team held off a strong Clippers attack and came away with a narrow 4-3 win in the Massachusetts Division 3 state championship game on Saturday night. For the 21st time in program history and for the third year in a row, the Raiders are champions.
