Watertown Students Innovate and Compete in Robotics Season
WATERTOWN – The Watertown High School Robotics Team, the KwarQs, is off to a strong start in this year’s ocean-themed competition, “Reefscape.” Their robot is designed to place PVC pipes onto artificial coral reefs while clearing obstacles like oversized kickballs, representing algae.
At the recent Greater Boston District event, the team finished 6th out of nearly 40 teams and earned the Autonomous Award for excellence in programming. Now, they’re preparing for their next challenge at the University of Vermont, fine-tuning their robot and strategies.
With a focus on both innovation and teamwork, the Quarks are determined to make an even bigger splash as the competition season continues.
