Watertown Swears In Elected Officials, Sideris Previews the Term Ahead
WATERTOWN – Watertown’s newly elected officials were sworn in during the city’s 2026 Inauguration Ceremony on Jan. 2 at the Mosesian Center for the Arts. City Council President Mark Sideris delivered the inaugural address, outlining several issues on the horizon for the city, including a restart of the charter review process, implementation of the Watertown Square Area Plan, and upcoming discussions on major capital projects such as the middle school, a new senior center and a potential East End fire station. Members of the City Council, School Committee and Library Board of Trustees were formally sworn in during the ceremony.
