Raiders Report: Buzzer-Beater Basketball, Bounce-Back Hockey Win & Gold Kings Clash
WATERTOWN – A dramatic finish on the hardwood and a full slate of hockey headlined a busy stretch for Watertown teams.
The Raiders girls basketball team pulled out a thrilling overtime win on Friday night, capped by a buzzer-beating layup in a tightly contested doubleheader at Watertown High School. The boys followed with a tough matchup against Burlington and later faced a challenging road test against Lexington.
On the ice, Saturday brought six periods of hockey to John A. Ryan Arena. Watertown–Wayland boys hockey battled sixth-ranked Arlington before bouncing back midweek with a 2–1 win over Lexington. The nightcap featured the Boston Gold Kings facing undefeated Hudson Valley in Senior Power Play Hockey League action.
