Hannukah Celebration, Holiday Pop-Up Shops, and Gift Drives Among Festive Activities Happening at Arsenal Yards

WATERTOWN – It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Arsenal Yards, the bustling new neighborhood in Watertown, invites area residents, workers, and visitors to make their holiday season merry and bright with holiday happenings now through December. Guests can enjoy a packed schedule of seasonal activities and entertainment along with plentiful opportunities to give back to the Watertown community.
The festivities will kick off on Black Friday, November 24th,with the Black FridAY Celebration + Gift Drive. While getting ahead on holiday shopping, visitors can enjoy festive activities, treats, crafts & more. Visitors are invited to stop by the fire pits to warm up while shopping, before or after fueling up at any of Arsenal Yards’ deliciously festive restaurants. Guests are also encouraged to drop off an unwrapped gift on the River Green to be donated towards children and families at the Watertown Boys & Girls Club and to the Whooley Foundation Gift Drive.
Additional festive happenings during the holiday season include meet and greets with Santa, holiday character extravaganzas, holiday crafting, a Menorah lighting, and oh-ho-ho-so much more.

Black FridAY Celebration + Gift Drive
On Friday, November 24th from 11:00am–4:00pm head to Arsenal Yards to enjoy festive activities, treats, crafts & more. Visitors are also encouraged to bring unwrapped gift donations to support two local organizations this holiday season. BONUS: The first 100 people to donate will get an Arsenal Yards Swag Bag.
FOUND Holiday Pop Up Shop
Shop sustainably this holiday season at the FOUND Holiday Pop-Up Shop at Arsenal Yards. Open Thursdays – Sundays until December 23rd, visitors can shop from 45 vintage and upcycled clothing and goods vendors at this unique pop-up experience. With fast fashion dominating the shopping world, FOUND was established as a reminder that small changes can make a positive impact on the environment. While traditionally FOUND has been executed in a pop-up market structure, their first ongoing market will allow shoppers to explore sustainable offerings to find the perfect gift for everyone on their list.
Character Extravaganza
Don’t miss this exciting meet and greet on Wednesday, November 29th from 4:00–6:00PM with holiday characters, including take-your-own photos ops with all the fan-favorites from Frozen, The Grinch, Elf, and Rudolph. RSVP encouraged.
Santa’s Workshop
On Monday, December 4th from 4:00–6:00PM, guests can bring the kids to the River Green to meet Santa and warm up with a hot cocoa (and maybe even a sweet treat as we hear its national cookie day)! Hannukah Celebration
In partnership with Chabad Watertown, the community is invited to the second-annual public menorah lighting ceremony and celebration at Arsenal Yards in Bond Square on December 7th from 4:30–5:30PM. Enjoy a live fire dance performance, lighting ceremony, live music, complimentary treats, crafts and more!
