Watertown Resident Hopes to Make Commuting to Boston a More Relaxing Experience with Electric Water Shuttle
Watertown – Watertown’s Drew Rollert is hoping to launch one of the first all-electric water shuttles on the east coast to ferry passengers from Watertown Square to Boston. The ‘Wada Hoppah” would transport passengers 15-20 at a time down the Charles River, making multiple stops along the way. Drew is currently waiting for the United States Coast Guard to approve his custom designed vessel, but he hopes to launch the service in the spring of 2024.
WCN News Director Dan Hogan joined Drew and his boat driver Will Congram on a scenic trip down the Charles River to lean more about the “Wada Hoppah” and how it could make life a whole lot easier (and more relaxing) for commuters.
