Watertown Farmers Market Begins 3rd Season at the Arsenal

Arsenal on the Charles – It’s summertime, and that means the Watertown Farmers Market is back for another season. Located at a new location on the green in front of the Arsenal Center for the Arts, the Market continues to offer a range of locally farmed products.

Every Thursday afternoon from 2 P.M to 6 P.M, about 20 different local vendors will be on hand to sell organic produce, fresh seafood, flowers, and so much more. Residents are encouraged to hang around the market, take in the music, and meet some of the local farms that Massachusetts has to offer.

The market continues to offer a weekly SNAP-match to low income residents shopping with EBT benefits. Each week, customers can visit the market manager tent to swipe their EBT card and receive a 1-to-1 match up to $15, turning $15 of food assistance into $30 of fresh, healthy food at market.

Vendors will not be the only thing attendees will find at the farmers market this year. Residents will find a rotating array of community partners with information and activities ranging from free kids’ yoga classes, to sales of used books from the Watertown Free Public Library.
