Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrates End of $1.7 Million Trapelo Road Reconstruction Project

Trapelo Road – Officials from Watertown, Belmont, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MASSDot) celebrated the completion of the redevelopment of the Trapelo Road corridor with a ribbon cutting ceremony this week at the intersection of Trapelo Road and Belmont Street.

The project, which took nearly 15 years to complete from its inception to completion, includes paved roads, new trees, bike lanes, and the elimination of unused overhead wires. It cost $1.7 million to complete.
