Watertown Going Purple Once Again in Support of Alzheimer’s Awareness and Research

Watertown – On Saturday, June 16, Watertown will be decked out in purple once again in recognition of The Longest Day. This annual community event aims to raise money for Alzheimer’s research and educate the public about what it’s like to live with Alzheimer’s. In 2012, Watertown resident Judy Johanson and her husband Steve, who was afflicted with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2011, organized a yearly town-wide event to raise money for and awareness of this cruel disease. This year, the event has taken on new meaning.
