School Building Committee Discusses Updated Design Plans for Cunniff and Lowell Elementary Schools

Town Hall – On Wednesday, August 15, the School Building Committee met in the Town Council Chambers to discuss updated design plans for the Lowell and Cuniff Elementary Schools. Scott Dunlap of AI3 Architects began by explaining the new changes made to the Cunniff master plan. The new addition will be moved as far away from the property lines as possible without interfering with the portion of the building that will remain in use. Additionally, the new plan will add green space at the rear of the building, have a total of 55 lined parking spaces and a student drop off lane for parents.

The new designs for the Lowell Elementary school include attaching two additions to the existing school building. Some other changes include expanding the physical education and health building, establishing an outdoor academic area, creating a parking space along George Street, and instituting new designs schemes in the hallways and entrances.
