Oakley Country Club’s Appeal to Acquire Permit for Wall Voted Down

Town Hall – This past winter, Watertown residents who neighbor Oakley Country Club were outraged by vast amounts of water that poured into their yards. A new retaining wall constructed by Oakley Club caused water – as a result of melting snow – to pour over from the golf course into neighboring yards. All remaining construction was ordered to stop pending a review by the zoning enforcement officer. It was determined that Oakley Country Club did not obtain the necessary building permit for the wall nor alert the neighborhood about the construction.
