Watertown Boys & Girls Club Gets a Major Upgrade

Watertown Boys & Girls Club – The Watertown Boys & Girls Club will be looking very different in the coming months. The center is in the middle of a massive $1.4 million renovation project. The three goals of the renovations are to improve security, add more accessibility to the building, and lastly to build the community’s’ first and only teen center.

The construction started in April with some interior demolition. Once that was finished the construction crew started working on outside demolition. Now a couple months later significant progress has been made. Some of the new additions will include a new front desk, multiple security cameras around the building and new gates and buzz entry system.

The next step is for the center to replace the entire tiling deck surrounding the pool. On top of that, the floors in the game room will be replaced and the entire facility will receive a brand new paint job. The main focus is to upgrade the entire facility for the next generations to enjoy.

A grand opening ceremony will be held to unveil the building’s improvements prior to this year’s Faire on the Square on September 22.
