Hope Lap, Lemonade Stands and Block Party Highlight Day of Alzheimer’s Awareness

Victory Field – Long-time Watertown residents Steve and Judy Johanson were joined by nearly 100 people on Saturday, June 17 for “The Longest Day,” which raises awareness for people living with Alzheimer’s. Steve Johanson was diagnosed with the disease several years ago. Now, Watertown’s observance of “The Longest Day” is one of the most popular events in town. It features a ‘Hope Lap” at Victory Field, followed by lemonade stands throughout town and a day-long block party.
