Community Holds Support Rally for Police Officers

Town Hall – A group of Watertown residents organized a support rally for the Watertown Police Department following the deaths of five police officers in Dallas on July 7th. “I want to emphasize the purpose of this is to give a positive message to our Watertown Police. We know these are difficult times to be a police officer,” said Marilyn Devaney of the Governor’s Council.

Among those to speak at the rally was Watertown’s Chief of Police Michael Lawn. Chief Lawn stressed the importance of community policing and maintaining positive relationships with the many different cultures in Watertown.
