Long-Time Deputy Fire Chief Bob Quinn Sworn in as Watertown’s Next Fire Chief

Watertown Free Public Library – After serving as the provisional chief for the past 10 months, long-time Deputy Fire Chief Bob Quinn was officially appointed as Watertown Fire Chief by Town Manager Michael Driscoll on Wednesday, Sept. 5. The following day, Quinn was sworn in at ceremony in the Watertown Free Public Library.

Chief Quinn takes over for Mario Orangio, who retired from the department last summer and passed away from cancer in November of 2017. Orangio’s family was in attendance along with the family of Firefighter Joseph Toscano. Toscano was Quinn’s aid at the fire department before passing away while fighting a fire in 2017.
