W.A.T.E.Rtown Task Force Holds Overdose Prevention Training

Square Medical Group – Watertown is continuing to make strides in the effort to fight against opioid overdoses in town. Overdoses and fatalities have increased rapidly over the last couple years, and the first line of defense against overdosing isn’t paramedics or police – it’s friends and family. That is why the Watertown Access to Treatment, Education and Resources task force (W.A.T.E.Rtown) held its first overdose prevention training session at Square Medical Group in Watertown.

Watertown Public Health Nurse Wil Van Dinter made a presentation and demonstration to attendees about how to administer the drug combatant NARCAN.
