Two Watertown Artists Painting Guitars to Benefit Music Programs in Schools
Mosesian Center for the Arts – Founded by Ernie Boch Jr., Music Drives Us is striving to use music to better the lives of students across New England. This non-profit organization aims to keep music in underprivileged communities and schools. They achieve this by raising money and providing grants for music programs in schools, non-profits, and other organizations.
The Foundation’s newest endeavor is an art project called as GuitARTS. 15 artist and musicians from New England, including two from Watertown, have been provided with a five-foot guitars on which to create their artwork. These artists are free to use this unique canvas to create whatever they wish.
These amazing pieces of art will be displayed during the first week in November throughout the town of Norwood, MA. After that, the guitars will be auctioned off with all of the proceeds going towards keeping music in schools.
