Firefighters Receive New Contract, Town Council to Vote on Medical Marijuana Clinic

Town Hall – The Watertown Fire Department will be receiving raises in each of the next three years. Town Manager Michael Driscoll announced the new contract between the town and the Watertown firefighters union at the March 16th Town Council Meeting. The news came the night before Watertown Firefighter Joseph Toscano died after battling a fire on Merrifield Avenue.

Later in the meeting, Town Councilors deliberated whether or not to vote on a letter of support or non-opposition on one of the medical marijuana facilities who have applied to open in Watertown. Transportation Demand Management (TDM) was also deliberated at length.
