State Officials, Chief of Police Co-Host Criminal Justice Reform Discussion

Free Public Library – Although Massachusetts is best in the country in prisoner incarceration rate, if it were a country it would have one of the highest rates in the world. One of the top priorities on Watertown State Senator Will Brownsberger’s agenda in the 2017-2018 season is facilitating and creating new legislation to reform the Massachusetts criminal justice system. On Mar. 28, a public forum was held by Senator Brownsberger and co-hosted by State Representative Jonathan Hecht and Representative John Lawn about criminal justice reform. Some former prisoners also attended the forum to speak about their experiences.
