News Stories from April 27, 2017
Watertown Weekly News is the only news program devoted solely to the community of Watertown. We cover stories about your town, your neighbors as well as issues that affect you, and we want you to get involved.
Do you have a niche in politics? Culinary arts? Environmental Awareness? Health and Fitness? Arts & Entertainment? Watertown Weekly News is looking for volunteers who are well versed in any of these categories to contribute short segments to our weekly program that airs live on Thursday nights at 7 p.m.
As part of the news team, you would be free to shoot, edit and even voice your own video packages. If you want to be part of the weekly newscast as it happens, you could report your segment live on the air! Each segment would focus on one specific part of your subject, and you would have 2-3 minutes to deliver your material. The segments could include, but are not limited to, How To’s, Advice/Tips, Opinions, Features, etc. Staff members are ready and willing to help you produce each segment by shooting and editing. We can shoot multiple segments per week and stockpile them, or you can come in each week and shoot, we are flexible.
For more information, or if you have a subject in mind that you want to report on, contact News Producer Dan Hogan at DanH@wcatv.org.
The WWN airs live every Thursday night at 7pm and repeats throughout the week daily at 12pm and 7pm on Comcast Channel 9 and RCN Channel 13 in Watertown. We invite any and all people in the community to come watch and participate in this fun production!
